Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Twilight Couples Session
There are some couples you just click with instantly — A & A were one of those for me. They met over a decade ago while studying at Newcastle University, and as soon as I heard their story, I was hooked. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a complete sucker for a uni love story — and an even bigger sucker for international love that no distance or border can break.
They were back in the UK for a special trip, revisiting the city where it all began, and asked me to come along to capture some of those moments. I felt incredibly lucky to be invited into something so meaningful.
We started where it all began — outside Newcastle University. The place where two students met by chance and slowly began building a life together, even if they didn’t realise it at the time.
This blog post isn’t about me — but I can’t help but share how special it felt to capture this. I met my now husband at uni too, right here in the UK. I don’t think either of us knew at the time just how magical it was that we were placed in the same dorm. Eight years on, and we still thank fate every day for that moment.
So to witness A & A walk through their own version of that beginning — it hit me right in the heart.
From there, we wandered down Queen Street, soaking in all the charm of the old architecture and quiet corners. As golden hour crept in, we made our way to the Quayside, standing beneath the Tyne Bridge before crossing the Millennial Bridge — two Newcastle icons that somehow felt even more significant with these two in front of them.

Being able to trace their journey through places that hold so many memories was magic. It wasn’t just a shoot — it felt like a celebration of everything they’ve built together.
This is what I’m all about. True lasting love, meaningful places, and honest connection.
If there’s a spot that tells part of your story — whether it’s your uni campus or a favourite street, let’s go there. Let’s tell your story in the places that helped shape it.
A & A — thank you for letting me witness a little piece of your world.
TLDR: A & A met at Newcastle University over a decade ago and recently returned to the city that started it all. We retraced their journey from campus, down Queen Street, and along the Newcastle Quayside, capturing moments under the Tyne Bridge and Millennium Bridge. As someone who also met their husband at uni in the UK, this session was especially meaningful to me — a reminder of how powerful those early chapters can be. If you’re planning a session in a place that holds part of your story — whether it's your uni, hometown, or a favourite city spot — I’d love to help you document it.
