My Why

My heart is never completely full. One half is here with the love of my life whilst the other is home in the States. When I am here, I miss long summer evenings, margarita in hand, hanging with my mom in the backyard of the house I grew up in. But when I am there, even if only for a short while, I think of cozy evenings with my husband and our cats in our North East home.

Photos are what get me through, what remind me that half way across this world, I have another life. They remind me of the love, the joy and the bittersweet happiness that accompanies having a heart split perfectly in two.

My Mom bought me my first Canon Rebel when I was 19 which moved with me from Los Angeles to San Francisco, capturing the antics of college behaviour. It wasn’t until a trip to Venice, Italy in 2019 that really made me think that I should have a “proper go” at photography which was conveniently followed by a global pandemic that made my “proper go” pretty dang difficult. However, in 2023 I shot my first elopement and 2024 my first wedding - the rest is history.

My People

I’m here for those doing things a little differently. Here for the people who are searching for a photographer who will capture their day as it was. This may be controversial but your wedding day doesn’t have to be the best day of your life. It can be a great day and it may well end up being the best, but it doesn’t have to be. I’m here for those who don’t have an endless list of posed family photos, or really any list at all. I work best with people who look at my work, know they want to book me, and trust in my art without question. Examples of some of my more “posed” photography here.

    I've had the honour of being photographed by Madison twice now, once for an engagement shoot and once for an individual shoot. I'm someone who is typically very nervous in front of a camera and I've always hated having my picture taken, but Madi has made me feel not only super comfortable but also super CONFIDENT! She is the loveliest and most talented person who puts you at ease instantly, as well as making it a really fun and empowering experience. Madi had great ideas for poses and prompts, but was also flexible and took 'requests' of specific photos I wanted, which was really fun. Her editing style is also really lovely so the pictures look stunning, I can't stop looking at them! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Madi to anybody, it was honestly the best experience and i'm so grateful to her for her time and expertise! Thank you Madi for making me feel fab about myself!!!!

    If you are looking for a photographer to do portrait or couples shoots in the south west, look no further! Madi is SO good at what she does. I'm a musician and I've done two artist shoots with her now. She took the time to listen to my music, compile mood boards and really get the feel for my brand before the shoots. The most recent one especially was so much fun and I've used the photos from that as promo shoots and cover art for my 2 new singles. She also did a couples shoot for my boyfriend and I. Again she made it so fun and made us both feel comfortable. I like how passionate she is about her craft and how beautifully she edits the photos. Would definitely recommend! ☺️

    Madi was a complete pro from start to finish. I was nervous about getting new branding photos for my website but she put me at ease right away. Her onboarding form was very thorough and she clearly took the time to really understand my business and what I was wanting. She was amazing at keeping in touch before and after the shoot too. The shoot itself was very comfortable and actually fun! She clearly has a great eye – as shown in the delivered photos (incredibly quickly after the shoot).     Madi is a very talented photographer who took our engagement photos.     I was lucky enough to have Madison as my maternity photographer. I knew I wanted to capture professional photos of my baby bump, but I was very nervous about the idea of being in front of the camera. All of my nerves completely melted away once I was with Madison. She's a genius with a camera and made me feel so comfortable, natural and at ease on the day. The photos she took of me are INCREDIBLE. I smile every time I look at them and am immediately transported back to that beautiful day.
