Bristol to Dorset: A Stunning Maternity Shoot at Hive Beach

While I usually spend my time snapping photos around Bristol, I recently had the chance to explore a little further afield in Dorset – and it was absolutely worth it! I’m excited to share a small collection of images from Dan and Libby’s beautiful maternity shoot at Hive Beach in Burton Bradstock.

Hive Beach is a hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of the Jurassic Coast (a place that has always been on my bucket list), this spot offers incredible scenery that feels like it's straight out of a postcard! Golden cliffs, endless stretches of sand, and the kind of coastal charm that reminds me of California (my home state). Being city based means I don’t get to explore these parts too often - so this was really a treat.

Dan and Libby are one of those couples who make my job super easy. From the moment they arrived, they were so relaxed and ready to enjoy the experience. I had met Dan previously on a course we were doing and when he told me they were expecting I secretly began planning this shoot! Their excitement for this next chapter in their lives was so evident and in my opinion really came through in some of the photos. Dan had shared that him and Libby got engaged on some cliffs nearby making this area quite a special one.
