R & C - Newcastle Civic Centre Wedding + The Cluny Reception | Newcastle Wedding Photographer
There are some weddings that feel less like a carefully choreographed day and more like a really fucking good day with your favourite people and this Newcastle wedding was exactly that.
Starting at Newcastle Civic Centre, the day began with a ceremony before everyone piled onto a bus and headed across the city to The Cluny in Ouseburn for the reception.
Getting married at Newcastle Civic Centre
The Civic Centre is such a brilliant place for a city wedding. There's something about getting married right in the middle of Newcastle that makes the whole thing feel connected to the place you're actually getting married in.
After the ceremony, we kept things relaxed with a few photos inside before heading outside for some group shots and couples portraits.
Nothing overly posed or elaborate just enough structure to get the important photos without turning the day into one giant photoshoot.
Because you've got better things to do - Like get on a bus headed to The Cluny for the reception.
The Cluny is such a good fit for a wedding like this. It's relaxed, characterful and feels like somewhere you'd actually want to spend an evening rather than somewhere you've hired because it looks like a “wedding venue”.
The day carried on in exactly the same spirit: good food, good people and plenty of drinks.

Your wedding doesn't need to be conventional.
It just needs to be yours.
