One of the most incredible parts of my job is forming genuine connections with couples like Emily and George. We first connected through Bristol Girl when they were looking for a photographer, and after our initial video call, we met for a pre-wedding shoot at Sand Bay. From there, the bond only grew stronger. By the time their big day arrived, I wasn’t just their photographer—I was absolutely a friend who was rooting for their incredible marriage (and crying alongside their family at how lovely their connection is).
Emily and George’s intimate ceremony at Poole Court (previously known as Yate Registry Office) was nothing short of beautiful, with family gathered closely around them, sharing in every laugh, tear, and heartfelt moment. Their loved ones' joy was palpable, amplifying the love that filled the room. As I captured those genuine moments, it was evident that their family was not just present but wholeheartedly part of their story.
After the ceremony, we headed to Oldbury-on-Severn for some stunning outdoor shots. With the natural comfort we had built during our Sand Bay pre-wedding shoot, Emily and George felt at ease in front of the camera making my job the easiest. They wandered together, sharing quiet moments by the water and embracing the calm of the landscape. The beautiful scenery highlighted their connection in a way that felt both timeless and genuine and totally understood the “South Gloucestershire Wedding” brief.
As the day transitioned into evening, the celebrations continued at The Swan in Tytherington. Friends and family gathered to toast, laugh, and enjoy the cozy ambiance, surrounding Emily and George with warmth. The intimate, heartfelt reception was a perfect close to their day, with everyone coming together to celebrate the start of this new chapter.
Being part of Emily and George’s journey has been freaking amazing. Watching them go from clients to friends has only deepened my love for what I do. Their wedding was a testament to the beauty of intimate gatherings, where love and connection take center stage.
